My Research Goal (Big picture)

I conduct research on the development of technologies that improve the quality of life and social participation of individuals with psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism and developmental disabilities.

The ultimate goal of my research is to help create a society in which people with autism, developmental disabilities, and other psychiatric conditions can live more comfortably and with dignity: a society in which they are able to contribute meaningfully, participate in employment, achieve greater independence, and secure supportive living arrangements when needed. More broadly, I aim to develop technologies and environmental interventions that enable people with disabilities to thrive within society.
